Men of Promise


Mission Statement:

To love the Lord with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, esteeming God above all.

To include, instruct, involve and invest in each other, providing men the opportunity to develop vital friendships, and to foster an atmosphere of acceptance in which men can grow in their friendships with Jesus Christ, their family, and one another.

To encourage and equip men to announce the Good News to the lost, to establish them in their faith and equip them for evangelistic outreach in Elkton Maryland and beyond, where people will be introduced to Jesus and the meaning of life in Him. We are ambassadors for Christ with a commission to share the Gospel.

To provide every man the opportunity for a closer relationship with God and others through instruction, to see each member develop into a mature person more like Christ, and to exhort and encourage other men to do the same.

To encourage men to recognize and develop their individual spiritual gifts so that then can then minister to one another and to the community of believers, and to live for others by allowing God's eternal light to shine through us and demonstrating God's love to others by meeting their needs and leading them to healing in the name of Jesus.

Times of Weekly Fellowship

Every Tuesday night @ 7:00PM.

Every Third Tuesday night dinner is served @ 6:30PM

Every Satuday Morning @7:00 PM Prayer in the sanctuary followed by breakfast.

The Role of Men's Ministry

A Promise Keeper is committed to honoring Jesus Christ through worship, prayer and obedience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit

A Promise Keeper is committed to pursuing vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that he needs brothers to help him keep his promises

A Promise Keeper is committed to practicing spiritual, moral, ethical, and sexual purity.

A Promise Keeper is committed to building strong marriages and families through love, protection and Biblical values.

A Promise Keeper is committed to supporting the mission of his church by honoring his pastor, and by actively giving his time and resources.

A Promise Keeper is committed to reaching beyond any racial, and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of Biblical unity.

A Promise Keeper is committed to influencing his world, being obedient to the great commandment (see Mark 12:30-31) and the great commission (see Matthew 28:19-20)


Men's Prayer

Heavenly Father, Your Word teaches me that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Create in me a clean heart and renew my spirit. Purify my heart through Your Word and cause me to never grow weary of doing what is right. Cause me to live in a holy and obedient life and to always put the needs of others before my own. Father, teach me to be a godly man, husband and father and grant me the wisdom, knowledge and boldness to declare Your Truth to the lost and teach them the joy of Your salvation. I ask these things in the Name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, Amen.
