Mission Statement

It is our purpose to help women cultivate a greater hunger for a relationship with God through solid, Word-based friendship, acts of service, finding their place of ministry, and building healthy relationships within the home, church, and community.

It is our intention to provide a loving, inclusive atmosphere where we can build the women of First Assembly of God. We desire that every woman would recognize her worth in God's sight.

Women's Ministry A Heart To Reach Beyond

The Women's ministry of First Assembly of God has as it's first goal to minister to every woman according to her need through a variety of spiritual and social venues.

Our second goal is to involve every woman in some aspect of ministry, helping her to be personally involved in fulfilling the Great Commission. We gratefully welcome every woman's participation.

Women's Retreat- Usually in April. We have been blessed with a great group of ladies. The retreat is open to any woman. We have a main speaker and Saturday Morning break-out sessions. The cost includes room and meals. It is a great time of great spiritual refreshing and ministry, and God Word is our foundation

We have a Women's Book Club that meets quarterly for a tea and discussion on the book selection. The books are fiction and non-fiction.

A group of moms who get together to share in Christian fellowship with one another, where they receive encouragement and support, and their children participate in fun activities.

The Mom's Group, led by Joan Thorp and Kendra Metcalf, meets once a month for a lunchtime get-together in someone's home. It is open to any moms who are looking for fellowship and a play group for their children.

Morning and evening studies every other week with topics and issues that are relevant to today's woman by known and gifted Christian teachers.

Outreach

Our bi-monthly fellowship meetings are a wonderful time of social interaction and spiritual growth. We gather together for either a Saturday morning breakfast or an appropriate weeknight meeting, with an interesting speaker.

Women's Intercessory Prayer every Saturday morning from 7:00 AM to 8:00AM in the Sanctuary.

Annual Christmas Party at the home of Donna Bosmeny.

About Face is a new facet for Women's Ministry. This is a more intimate time of sharing with each other on topics that are relevant for today's woman.
